Sunday Best

Here is Lydia, all dressed up for church.

"Sleep Talk"

As always, Lydia is very expressive with her hands. We caught her during a nap this week making all sorts of signals.

"Speak Up, I can't hear you!"

"Oh, Well." or "I don't know."

"Yea!"

Lydia is starting to smile so much. It is fun to make noises at her and see her cute little smile. She will sit and talk to herself, and every once in awhile you might hear a shriek of excitement as she starts waving her arms and pedaling her feet with joy.

"Cute" Lydia

We have been experimenting with the video capabilities of our camera. Lydia was being so fun and talkative that we thought we would get it on video to share with everyone. It didn't quite turn out as we hoped.

Enjoy!

It's Getting Colder

It has been cooling off here in North Carolina.
We have started to bundle Lydia up a little bit tighter when we go out.

She is starting to talk a little bit more.
She will sit by herself longer and entertain herself.
We enjoy this because it gives our arms a break.

Lydia went to the doctor this week. She weighs 8 lbs and 14 oz. and 21.5" long.

She is getting so big.

First Sunday

Today was Lydia's first day at Church. We got her all dressed up and looking so cute. She started fussing just as we were getting ready to put her into her car seat. We were worried that she was going to be a stinker for her first outing, but to our relief she calmed down and was a perfect angel the whole time we were gone. Sure enough, as soon as we stepped back into the house she started crying for dinner.

Isn't she cute!

Help from Grandparents

Thanks for all the help.
It sure was nice to have some family around for a few days. We enjoyed the company and the meals that our Moms made for us.

We are looking forward to seeing the rest of the family in a month!

Little Habits

Lydia loves her hands. She always has them by her face somehow.

See how Lydia is holding her ear? When she was born her ear was actually folded and pointy like an elf's. She's been doing that for a long time. I loved the little fold, but her Grandma Carrigan kept trying to hold her ear in place to fix it. Sadly, her ear has already fixed itself. But sometimes she still holds her ear.
Pretty in blue.
Put your hands up!! Lydia loves to sleep with her arms above her head....super relaxed.
